The Diplomatic Corps of the International Federation of Trekkers is responsible for initiating and maintaining communications between IFT, it's members, and other fan organizations, initiating pacts / treaties, various inter-fandom activities and newsletter exchanges. The Diplomatic Corps is commanded by the Executive Ambassador of the International Federation of Trekkers. He is assisted by Ambassadorial Liaison Officers, each assigned to one of the various fan organizations with which we maintain diplomatic relations.
To become a member of IFT's Diplomatic Corps one has to pass the entrance exam available via our IFT Academy. "The IFT Diplomatic Corps Entrance Examination." It is a substantial / comprehensive test , the course covers every facet of knowledge an Ambassador should have in representing IFT to the world et reliqua......... Taking this test is stage one in becoming a official rep for IFT to our brethren Trekkers in other Fandom orgs, an awesome duty to assume... but necessary for the propagation of Gene Roddenberry's vision.
1/ If you are seriously interested in continuing Gene Roddenberry's work
and vision ...... write to the Executive Ambassador, Adm John Fallon
[jpf@startrekmail.com ] expressing in full your motivations, gifts and
qualifications for doing this work.
2/ If he is satisfied you are a qualified candidate, he will then put you in
touch with the Academy, with approval to take the entrance exam.
3/ You have to pass the entrance exam to work as a member of the Corps.
The cost to cover materials and admin. is $10. not that cheap we know ,
but it is a substantial wad of paper to mail and proccess.
4/ If you pass the exam, the Executive Ambassador will then consider your
best position / placement within the Diplomatic Corps for maximum
efficiency and benefit to you, the Corps and Fandom.
